WEC Riding School Pledge

"As a student at WEC riding school I stand for the best in sportsmanship as well as in horsemanship, I shall compete for enjoyment of the game well played and take winning or losing in my stride, remembering that without good manners and good temper, sport loses it's cause for being.  I shall endeavour to maintain the best tradition of the ancient and noble skill of horsemanship, always treating my horse with consideration due a partner."

Over the past two years the riding school has transformed into a vibrant and fun environment.  Kayleen Fooy who is a fulltime equine coach is working to carry out the Riding School Pledge.  See below for the types of lessons, prices and client feedback.

Types of lessons available:

Private lessons are best for:

• First time/beginner riders to teach basic techniques and gain confidence and skills needed to ride in a group.
• Gives experienced or competitive riders an opportunity to work one or one with an instructor to prepare for competitions or individual goals. 
• Kayleen can give specialised lessons in a dressage arena, show jumping and cross country.
• Gives riders who have lost confidence or are feeling nervous an opportunity to work through their concerns in a safe environment with a qualified instructor.

Semi-private lessons are best for:

• Open for 2 people for an hour lesson.
• Kayleen is also available for hour cross country schooling for 2 people.

Group lessons for children and adults are best for:

•  We have a large variety of group lessons and are always working on developing the groups to best match the client's needs.
• Please see below for the approximate schedule of group lessons.

Group lesson times:-

Beginner Rider:
(Level 1)
Every Tuesday Jr Kids beg class 3.30 pm 
Every Saturday 1.30pm for preschool kids
Every Sun 10.30 pm - Adults Only for kids beg on Sun 1.pm

Intermediate Rider:
(Level 2)
Every Tuesday 4.30pm high school kids and 6.30 pm adults only
Every Wednesday Jr kids 4.00 pm kids jumping up to 60 cm
Every Thursday 4.30 pm kids
Every Saturday 9.00am jumping 70-80cms and 12.30 pm  jumping 30-40cms

Advanced Rider: Jumping 80 cm & Prelim Dressage
(Level 3)
Every Saturday 10:30 pm jumping 80-90cms 
Every Tuesday 5.30 pm - Adult Dressage

Lesson prices:

If you ride one of our horses in a lesson safety helmet and horse gear is supplied. In the interests of safety, please ensure you wear appropriate footwear. Boots with a heel are preferred. No Jandals, sandals or open-toed shoes please.
